Medicinal Plants

Hi bloggers!

Today the topic is Medicinal Plants. Really I don’t know very much about this topic like the people studying Agronomy, but I’m going to talk about my experience with the topic.
Since I was a child, I’ve had contact with medicinal plants because my mother’s family lives in a small rural town  about two hours away from Santiago. So, when I visited (and I continue visiting) my family and I was sick, my grandmother  did herbal tea with different plants  she picked in the field. For this reason I know about rue, paico or chamomile. Actually, my mom has some medicinal plants in our garden and all the family use it when we are sick.
I think medicinal plants are an importan part of  traditional culture of all the countries and it is more used in rural places than in cities. All the plants and trees have special properties. Sometimes these properties can help humans even though in the past some of them could poison and kill. We have to learn about them from our ancestors or with the people dedicated to know about medicinal plants.  Personally, I believe in all the properties that all the plants and trees have.  I always prefer to use medicinal plants because I think pills are toxic for our bodies.

Now, I have a question for you. Do you know about some medicinal plants use to take away a headache? I usually have headaches and I don’t want to continue taking pills.

See you soon!

Bye bye
